User class threw exception: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: empty collection

Issue

When analyzing a set of AD data, the following error is returned:

User class threw exception: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: empty collection

Cause

This is sometimes caused by the fact that less than 7 days of data was ingested.  If there is less than 7 days, the analytics will not function properly

Resolution Step

In /opt/interset/analytics/bin, edit the training .sh file.

Search for 'Cluster'.  You should get one hit that looks like the line below:

# Clustering
$DIR/spark.sh com.interset.analytics.training.ClusteringJob --batchProcessing ${batchProcessing} --tenantID ${tenantID} --dbServer $zkPhoenix --parallelism $parallelism --namespace $namespace

Comment out the second line so it looks like this:

# Clustering
#$DIR/spark.sh com.interset.analytics.training.ClusteringJob --batchProcessing ${batchProcessing} --tenantID ${tenantID} --dbServer $zkPhoenix --parallelism $parallelism --namespace $namespace

Applies To

• Interset 5.6 or higher
